DBTA Partners

The DBTA is working closely with several other organizations that work to further Biodynamic agriculture, especially the Biodynamic Farming & Gardening Association and Demeter USA. The feeling is one of collaborating together toward the shared goal of increasing the number of Demeter Certified Biodynamic farms in the U.S., and having more Biodynamic products at farmers’ markets, on the shelves of grocery stores, and for sale online in the U.S.

The Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association (BDA)

  • Founded in 1938, the BDA works to advance the knowledge and application of the Biodynamic methods through educational activities, research and demonstration, including such activities as lectures, conferences, consultation and the distribution of literature on Biodynamic methods to farmers, gardeners and foresters.

Demeter International

  • Demeter International is an umbrella organization for worldwide Demeter certifiers of Biodynamic agriculture. Currently, it represents around 3,500 Demeter producers in about 40 countries.

Demeter USA

  • Provides certification services for Biodynamic farms, processors and traders. Demeter helps educate consumers and producers on what the Demeter farm and processing standards represent. Demeter protects and continually seeks to upgrade the Demeter/Biodynamic trademark and certification criteria. Demeter USA Is the U.S. branch of Demeter International, an umbrella for Demeter certification services for Biodynamic® agriculture around the world.

Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics, Inc. (JPI)

  • The mission of the Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics, Inc. is to heal the earth through production of quality Biodynamic preparations, and to advance education and research with Biodynamic practitioners. JPI is a resource for purchasing the Biodynamic preparations and educational materials, and for workshops that train individuals in how to make the preparations.
